Crossing The Equator

As we were getting closer to the famous “line”, the tension was to touch and feel! We had a little party with linie aquavit (Norwegian liquor that has already been transported twice across the equator in wooden barrels – and now: thrice). We were all waiting for the “equatorial flash”, where everything in a fragment of a second is upside down, because you are in the southern hemisphere, but sadly nothing happened… -duh!
