Islas Perlas

chilled out

Islas Perlas is a group of many small and very idyllic islands. After leaving the city of Panama with millions of inhabitants it was a delight to be out in the paradisic surroundings again. There are very little tourists around here, and the ones we meet are mostly other yachties – which is nice. We met this local guy who told us some good spots to go to if we wanted to see crocodiles and sharks, so we have been on desperate lookout the last few days but so far seen nothing – to our huge disappointment! We have been trying to hunt them out by going on jungle safaris trekking up the rivers (good thing we took the malariatablets) but nooo (well, at least we weren’t eaten!).

We also had a huge bonfire with a luxurious barbeque the other day- mucho nico!
